I'll just review the first basic mix for now. If you want me to review the edit and the "bad" mix, I will.
So, it's a good mix, of course. Original, complete, not all over the place (which some of your other stuff has been, as I've told you before). What you've done with She Wolf's vocals (great acapella, by the way) is new and something most would not think to do. Mixing them around, taking the first part of only one verse and making it the main theme of the whole mix, is very good.
However, as is the case with some of your other mixes, you make the music so original and try so hard to make it sound different that the listener is found listening more to the music than the vocals, the part that makes the instrumental track a remix. Is it good to have a different sound? Of course, that's what gets you noticed. However, the music should be there to help Shakira, not duet with her.
You also need to know the point between cool sounding and repetitive. "Domesticated girl, girls" is very cool sounding, but it repeats way too much at the end. As I mentioned before, it's the theme of the remix (as stated by its title), but that doesn't mean it needs to be stated so many times.
Finally, although I said that the mix is not all over the place, that is in terms of pattern. There is a perfect balance between only-music moments, verses, and chorus (except for the over-doing of "domesticated girl, girls"), but the music itself IS all over the place. Within one part of the mix, while Shakira is singing, the music going along with that part will change moods suddenly. Try to keep the music more constant, and not have such abrupt changes.
Well, that's all I have to say. Thoughts?
